1,200 attend EMEA Week

Over 1,200 delegates from over 80 different countries attended EMEA Week last week at Holy Trinity Brompton, London.

The week was opened by The mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Cllr Andrew Dalton. He said, 'You are all hugely welcome, we love having you here, we love the true international sense that this gathering brings, and I wish you from the bottom of my heart the most wonderful conference.'

The Alpha Conference, which ran for the first two days of EMEA Week, gave the delegates an opportunity to attend seminars on 'The Practicalities of Alpha'.

During the latter stages of the week, the international delegates gave feedback on how Alpha is progressing in their countries, with Nicky Gumbel receiving unexpected gifts from some of the delegates - delegates from Peru gifted Nicky a Peruvian hat, the Egyptian delegates gave him a cross in a box, whilst the delegates from Sierra Leone gave him a traditional shirt.

On the Thursday evening the delegates attended a BBQ followed by an evening prayer celebration in the church.
