OVER 600 delegates – both Catholics and Protestants – attended the second Latin America Alpha Conference in Lima, Peru in October.
The event was opened by Juan Carlos Vera Plasencia, Catholic Bishop of Caraveli.Eleven countries were represented including the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Colombia, with the biggest representations coming from Peru, Argentina, Ecuador and Chile.
Around 200 people attended a Youth Training Day held after the conference, which was led by a youth team from Spain. A special Prisons Training Day was attended by 130 guests.
