Caring for Ex-Offenders will be running training in Southampton on Saturday 19th February. This training will be a valuable resource for the churches in this area, along the South coast and further afield, who are supporting ex-offenders already, or have an interest in becoming involved in this area of ministry.
Churches who currently have ex-offenders in their congregation will be able to benefit from knowledge and best practice shared by the Caring for Ex-Offenders team and meet with others involved in Prison Ministry. It is also a great opportunity to see exactly what supporting people who have been in prison looks like; and if there are people who have an interest in this field, to discern if and how to be involved. This area is an one of resettlement for those coming out of prison in London particularly and so this may be a relevant ministry to those in the locality. Those released individuals will need support and a welcoming community. We'd love to help equip you in providing for this need.
It doesn't matter if you have lots of experience and would like to link in with others, or this is your initial step in involvement with helping people who have been in prison, we'd love to have you along.
For more information on this event see the Caring for Ex-Offenders website, and you can book online now too.
