Global Alpha Training in Haiti
Just after Haiti was ravaged by the earthquakes that destroyed much of the capital Port au Prince a Global Alpha Training team went to the city of Jacmel in south Haiti.
The team, from Coastal Church in Vancouver, led the three-day conference for one hundred and seventy pastors.
Alpha had never been run in Haiti before and the pastors came to be trained and equipped to start an Alpha Course.
Pastor Placide from Christian Evangelical Church of Haiti said: "The Alpha program has been a life changing program."
The host church started their first Alpha Course on the last night of the training conference. Over 160 people attended with about 30 first time guests.
Over 50 Alpha Courses are expected to begin within the month in Haiti, led by leaders that attended the Alpha training conference.
