Around 5,000 people took part in Easter services at Holy Trinity Brompton and its sister church St Paul's Onslow Square last weekend. The services included a three-hour meditation on Good Friday attended by around 800 people. A large wooden cross dominated the church for the service, which was a mix of prayer, music, teaching, art, readings and dance.
An string orchestra and choir under the leadership of HTB Director of Classical Music Simon Dixon sang excerpts from Handel's Messiah.
Dr Graham Tomlin, Dean of St Mellitus College, London, delivered a series of short meditations from passages of scripture.
Around the church were hung works of art by members of the congregation which depicted insights into the Easter story.
On Easter Day itself, two morning family services included a child-friendly drama based on an imaginary investigation by the famous French detective Inspector "Who-So" into the mystery of the resurrection.
