Three hundred guests at the Youth Alpha conference witnessed international rugby player, Ugo Monye, confirm that he will stand as ambassador of Youth Alpha and Student Alpha.
At the celebration evening held at St Paul's Onslow Square, London last week, the England and Harlequins player said, "Alpha, Holy Trinity Brompton and everyone within it have made a huge difference in my life, the worst thing I could do is take hold of that and be selfish. The way I see it is that it's good news in my life and I would like others to hear about it so if I can get out there and make a difference and get people interested - then it can only be a good thing. "
The evening was celebrating the launch of the new Youth Alpha leaders manual and the new online tool 'TalkBuilder' for those running Youth Alpha. Tim Hughes and the Worship Central team led worship alongside hip-hop group 29th Chapter.
