Paul Davie Alpha Scotland Director Paul has degrees in Accountancy and Theology from the University of Aberdeen and was a depute Director of Finance at the University before joining the ministry team at City Church, Aberdeen in 1996. As well as being a full-time Pastor, he was an Alpha Adviser and founded the local Alpha Regional Team. Over the last two years he has led Global Alpha Training teams from Scotland to Delhi, India. Paul played a key role in developing unity amongst church leaders across Aberdeen. His passions are to see the church equipped for mission & ministry, and to see Jesus become the "talk of Scotland". Paul is married to Gillian who is a physiotherapist and they have three lively boys, and they now live in Glasgow.

Allan Jack Although Allan’s parental home was Strathaven, Lanarkshire he grew up and went to University in England before working for the then Ministry of Overseas Development in Africa for 5 years. On returning to Scotland he worked in commercial property consultancy for 17 years before establishing a property development and investment business specialising in healthcare. Allan has been involved in running Alpha courses in Aberdeen since 1994 and says that seeing people’s lives transformed by the love of God is better than any business deal!

Bonnie Yule-Kuehne Bonnie moved to England over 10 years ago for graduate studies at the London School of Economics before going to work for the US Ambassador to the Court of St James's. She came to work for Alpha International five years ago, working directly with the Executive Director of Alpha International and HTB, and in 2006 took on the role of heading up the development of Alpha in the UK.

Gordon Cowan Gordon was in the Christian rock band TRIUMPH in the mid 80's, early 90's for 6 years. He returned to business and has successfully built up and sold several businesses over the last 15 years. He now links business with more 'meaningful and significant' roles and is on the board of Medic Assist International, a Christian Medical Charity based in Oxford, working in Nigeria and the Sudan. He is also Development Consultant for the SMILES Foundation, raising awareness in the UK and US for the building of educational and medical facilities for the gypsy communities in Romania. Gordon is married to Ann and has four children, Mhari, Fiona, Kirstie and Scott. The family attend Seagate Evangelical Church in Troon where he is an elder and is passionate about the church reaching out and making a tangible difference in the community. Alpha is a key and influential part of that ongoing strategy.

Sarah Stanger Sarah has worked in the House Building industry for 17 years and is currently the Sales and Marketing Director for CALA Homes operating in the East of Scotland. Graduating from a Business Studies degree she fell into the role after her degree thesis which focussed on the marketing and selling of new homes. She is married to Paul, who she met at University and they have one daughter Amy. Sarah has an active role in St Mungos, the church she grew up with, in Balerno near Edinburgh. For the last three years has been involved in Business Alpha bringing the good news into the West End of Edinburgh where she has given Alpha talks and co hosted a small group. Sarah has a passion for Alpha for everyone to hear the Good News and for Jesus to become the talk of Scotland.

Rev Karl Martin Karl Martin is Senior Pastor of Morningside Baptist Church in the city of Edinburgh. He is married to Niki and has 4 daughters who keep him broke, humble and youthful! His interests include curry, sport of all kinds and ‘24’. Rev Hugh Wallace
Hugh is married with three grown up sons, and now serves as minister of Newhills Church of Scotland in Aberdeen after twenty years at Mount Florida Church in Glasgow. His passions, apart from his family, sport and music, are his ministry and bringing the liberating Gospel of Jesus to those of all ages and backgrounds. He is convener of the Church & Society Committee of the Presbytery of Aberdeen, and also serves on the Board of Mission Scotland. Alpha has been used significantly as part of his congregations' mission work, and the "joined up" approach to discipleship with other agencies and across the denominations particularly excites him. |
