2010 Alpha Invitation updates

Here is the latest news, including new downloads, to help you with your September Invitation plans.

We hope your plans are coming on well and we'd love to hear from you whatever the style, shape & size of your launch. You can share by posting a story on Alpha Friends or please send an email ukinvitation@alpha.org with pictures and/or samples of your posters, invites and videos.

New PNGs available

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to create your promotional materials to launch your Alpha course. The downloadable files aren't easy to use if you are working with Word so we have created lots of PNG images from the 2010 Invitation graphics.

To access all the PNGS, go to 'RESOURCES' at the top of this page and then 'DOWNLOADS.'

We have also created a brand new emailable invitation. Based on the paper version, you can type in where and when your event or course is and then send it to your guests for easy registration. Click here to download the PDF (right-click, save target or link as).

Here in the Alpha office, we have the 2010 Desktop Wallpaper on our computer screens. It looks pretty cool! You can download the desktop wallpaper along with animated & static web banners for your website by going to 'RESOURCES' and then 'DOWNLOADS.'

Did you know, 34% of people* who are aware of the Alpha course, recall seeing a banner or poster at a local church? We are so thankful for all you do to promote the Alpha course; it makes a huge difference to the nation's awareness of Alpha.

September advertising

From 1 September advertising for the Alpha course will appear on buses in the UK capitals: Belfast, Cardiff, London & Edinburgh. We are also including Welsh language buses in Cardiff as well as digital screens showing a short animated advert on tube platforms in London.

Combined with your banners and posters, we are aiming for 2010 to be the biggest year yet to raise awareness and give everyone in the UK the opportunity to explore the meaning of life by coming on the (your) Alpha course.

Let's get online!

We are currently in production on three viral adverts for everyone to share online. They are short, humourous stories and we can't wait to launch them & make them available to you to help promote your course in September!

The web is a really key place for Alpha to be noticed and we will be using search-related advertising to make sure that if anyone searches for words or terms such as 'meaning of life,' 'Christianity,' or 'Does God exist?' an Alpha course advertisement will appear in the results.

Using these tools, both online and offline, we hope to see lots of people across the UK visit Alpha.org and look for courses in their area.
