Alpha Friends

Working as Churches Together to put on Alpha Courses for our community in the name of Jesus Christ. The Week of 24-7 Prayer, 2 -9 September with 168 hours of prayer was brought to a fitting end with a Prayer & Praise evening where we "raised the roof" to God at St Christopher's Church . The prayer event truly was a Blessing and we wait on the Lord with expectation as we look forward to Alpha Courses starting locally. Wetherspoons were very accommodating providing a curry meal & a drink for 86 people very efficiently, for which the local Alpha fund picked up the tab. Publicity for this Invitation included a follow up to the last 2 years, whereby 2700 Alpha Invitations to the Wetherspoons event went out by prior arrangement to all Primary Schools, Playgroups & Toddler Groups in Chepstow & District, to go home in school bags or be given to parents. The Alpha Invitation locally had some internet / local TV coverage this year shot at Alpha on the High St where the Alpha team were out meeting the community on Saturday 5th September. It really has been a time of Blessing and great encouragement as Courses prepare to start with 6 Alpha groups, run by different Churches and between 45 - 50 guests in total.
