We are the Kanter's Laura & Rudy Kanter and we are so excited about the news of having Alpha in Mexico Aleluya!!!!!
We have about 50 people in a bilingual Group English and Spanish simultaneously. At Holy Spirit Parish. I am sending you some picks of the first session. My husband and I have embraced in the mission of helping the alpha course into the Catholic church in Canada and Mexico starting with Spanish community in Canada, this is our 4 year doing Spanish course in Calgary!!!

This course is intended to reach (primarily) the Spanish speaking international students and temporally workers that are coming to Calgary for a short time to study or work, these people are struggling with language changes, loneliness, homesickness and even depression. Most of these people are also struggling with their faith. They can find in an Alpha course a new faith and new meaning on life that goes beyond religion but go to a personal relation with our Savoir Jesus Christ and the new light with the Holy Spirit in their life and when they go back to their countries in Latin America they will bring a message of hope and good news, that eventually will get the churches in Latin America to work together to utilize this Alpha tools to reach their communities.

We were in the original team from St. Michaels 8 years ago. the first Catholic church doing Alpha in Calgary and we have help other churches to start the course including a Pentecostal church in Calgary. Our church double the attendance since we start the Alpha course to the point we are building the largest Catholic church in town to attend the growing of our community

Please keep us posted of the progress in the courses in Mexico since we have a lot of people who have taken the course here and want their friends and family to take it in Mexico. Including my mom (82 years old) a retired English teacher who have been very active in helping us with the course here in Canada but she lives 6 months in Mexico to.

I am Attaching some pictures as well as our testimony and will love to keep in touch since we want to bring a Spanish conference in Calgary (there is a population of about 45,000 Spanish speaking attending each year the largest Hispanic Festival in Canada) we are praying for that
