We are just completing an inter church Alpha Course in the city of Derry. There are seven different churches or prayer groups involved of all denominations - Church of Ireland, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist and Salvation Army. This is a remarkable progression for this city as there has not been any significant inter church activity for a long time. The Alpha Course enabled us to get together in a safe space and use a structure that was not intimidating. There were struggles and frustrations and many theological differences, but it was was a huge success. We have over 50 people and formed many new relationships which will no doubt help to further build peace in our country.
