I got to know Alpha while preparing for the priesthood. In my early priestly yearsI was lucky to have an dynamic Alpha-team . Through Alpha different groups sprang up: a student group, a prayergroup. And many contacts with other groups and churches around the country, those contacts bear fruit on different levels of pastoral and personal life.
Since I am a prison chaplain now, I have been more then once the lucky witness of lives being changed through a proces that started with or was being strenghtened by Alpha. Some of the Alpha-inmates still contact me several years later on to let me know what the Lord continues to do in their lives. Their shared testimonies are a strong help for other inmates struggeling right now to trust in the Lord.
