We had a wonderful time at the end of February organising 2 Student Alpha Roadshow evenings in Aberdeen and Glasgow!

These were ‘come and see’ events where anyone, from those who have run Student Alpha many times to those who just wanted to see what Student Alpha is, was welcome to come and find out more about Student Alpha.

We all had a meal together (in true Alpha style!) which was followed by worship and testimonies from students who had run Alpha and also students who came to faith on the course. Rich Phillips came up from Holy Trinity Brompton and gave a talk about the key elements of Student Alpha and then we had some small group discussion which gave us lots of ideas about how we could run the course in various different locations throughout Scotland.

Both events were really well attended by students as well as student workers, pastors, chaplains and other people who are involved in student ministry. It was a great time of sharing, networking and learning from one another. Following the success of these events we are planning more Student Roadshows in different Scottish locations and also a Student Alpha Conference in Scotland… watch this space…

NEWSFLASH!....
We now have citywide Student Alpha courses for Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and St Andrews planned for Autumn 2008! Many local churches and student organisations are working together on these events.
