Vision to Action & The 2011 Alpha NI Vision Day
April is a massive month for us here in the Alpha Northern Ireland Office, with 2 big events happening over the course of one weekend!
On Friday 8th April, we will host the first From Vision to Action Conference in Northern Ireland. Turning Vision into Action is a challenge that we face constantly within the church, and one that I'm sure we could all use a little help with. Tricia Neill, author of From Vision to Action and Executive Director of Alpha International, and Rebecca Stewart, Chief Operating Officer at Holy Trinity Brompton and Alpha International are our hosts for the day.
Together with a fantastic local team and with amazing times of Worship and Ministry, this is an opportunity to come and gain helpful tools, principles and practical help in turning Vision for our communities into a reality. This is a conference designed for anyone involved in leadership (whether thats church or organisational) and we would love to encourage any leader to bring your teams and join us at Carnmoney Church for an amazing day. Then, on Saturday 9th April, Willowfield Parish will host the 2011 Alpha Northern Ireland Vision Day with Nicky Gumbel. 500 people together in the centre of Belfast praying, worshipping and thinking together about how we can see our Nation transformed.
We live in a world that is changing fast. A world that is desperate for hope and desperate for answers. Yet, we worship a God who answers prayer. Who is doing amazing things all over the world. A God who is drawing all peoples to himself. As we look around our Island, we believe that now is the time for the church to make an impact and we are so totally convinced that God can heal our Nation. The church is alive and Jesus truly is the only hope for this generation. Its time to act. Time to pray. It's time to feed the hungry and stand beside the broken. Its time to see marriages restored. It's time to see lives transformed. It's time to think big. Its time to ask - What if a Nation could be changed?
We're delighted to have Relationship Central (home of the Marriage Course and the new Parenting Course), 24/7 Prayer, Worship Central, Alpha UK along with Nicky Gumbel we will spend the day looking at how we can transform our relationships, our churches and our communities.
