There are currently 2.3 million students in higher education institutions across the UK. Less than 1% of them are involved in Church or other Christian groups whilst there. That's just 23 thousand...out of 2.3 million people.
Student Alpha is a simple but effective tool for sharing the Gospel with your friends. It's the same as the classic Alpha Course (a ten week course giving guests an opportunity to explore the meaning of life), it's just been Squeezed (into 7 weeks), Squashed (30 minute talks), and Spiced (with multi-media elements) for Students.
So why not run a small course yourself?
Imagine an explosion of pocket-sized courses, 5 or more guests in houses, flats and halls… You may be part of a 5-person cell-group, a church with 50 students, or a 100-strong CU. With a team of just 2, you can have your own course. That’s 1, 15, 30 courses happening, with 5, 10, 15 guests on each. Student Alpha can be as simple as 5 people watching the video in a kitchen and discussing the talk over a pizza.
